Paranormal Romance Author K.C. Fox – Book Elves Event Interview

Here is the interview that I did with K.C. Fox for the Book Elves on the Shelves Event. She will be taking over Nov. 30th 6-7pm CENTRAL!

Are you an indie author or with a publisher and what do you find the pros and cons to be for each?
I am an indie author- pros- I have had more control over the whole process and was able to do them as I wanted. I got to know a ton of amazing authors, cover designers and beta readers along my journey that I don’t think I would have met with a traditional publisher.  Cons- I had to learn as I went and didn’t have the experience of a publisher when it came to the bane of my existence- formatting!!  I don’t know if I would ever sign with a publisher. It would have to be a great deal.

What is your current “work in progress”?
My current WIP is Dying, Divers & Pies.  Book 2 in the Sugar Rush Cafe’ Series.

How many books do you currently have out and titles if you would like?
I have 1 book out- Muffins Crumbs My Way.

What one character from your book or books do you connect with most and why?
The main characters, Jill.  She and I have some personality quirks in common and a love of baking and thinking quick on our feet.

Being that this event is for the Christmas Season do you have any special traditions that you would like to share with us?
Every year for Christmas my kids and I make hot white chocolate, cookies and watch White Christmas, Charlie Brown Christmas and Snowball Express.

What is your favorite Christmas dessert?
My favorite Christmas dessert is- all of them! I love desserts- making them, creating them, eating them- all of it! ‘

What is the worst gift that you have ever received for Christmas?
My worst gift- A puke/peach colored sweater and matching skirt 3 sizes too big when I was 12.  My mom left me throw it out! It was that bad!!!

Who is your favorite author and or favorite book?
My favorite author- its a tie- Terry Pratchett and Janet Evanovich.  They make me think, dream and make me laugh.

If you had to describe yourself in three words what would they be?
My 3 words- Imaginative, Creative, Jack-of-all-trades.

What are your thoughts on being apart of the upcoming Book Elves on the Shelves event?
Thoughts on event- I cannot wait for the event- Melly throws the best parties! Meeting and getting to know other amazing authors, readers and just hanging out with people from all over who love to read and write as much as I do, is always a great thing!
