Stephanie Albright

So I just finished my interview with the talented Stephanie Albright, author of Allie’s Choice: A time travel romance. Thank you for taking the time to do the interview with me and look forward to reading more of your work. Check out the review that I did on the book by clicking HERE.

What inspired you to write Allie’s Choice: A time travel romance?
I have always been fascinated with time travel, so when I started to write my first novel I knew that I wanted to include that element. The Revolutionary War era is my favorite, so I know the most about that time period and wanted to have Allie travel there. I guess Allie’s Choice is my fantasy to be able to visit that time period.

How long did it take you to write Allie’s Choice: A time travel romance?
Right around four years, I would work on it for awhile and then not touch it for months at a time. Finally, a friend from elementary school, Natalie Wright, self-published her first novel and she inspired me to finish and become an Indie Author!

How did you come up with the name for your book and is this a standalone or will there be more books?
My working title for Allie’s Choice was ‘I Don’t Know My Name’, and I didn’t come up with Allie’s Choice until it was almost finished. It just came to me one day when I didn’t even realize that I had been thinking about it. As far as I know, it is a stand alone, but I am writing the sequel right now to my second novel that I said I wouldn’t.

If you had to choose one place to live that you had to be secluded while you finished a book but could only take 3 items with you where would it be and what items?
It would be on a beach somewhere warm and I would take my dog, my Kindle and a bottle of tequila.

Who did your cover for Allie’s Choice: A time travel romance?
A friend on Wattpad did the cover. She is a very talented writer, her user name is ChickNAlfedo.

Who is your favorite author and how have they inspired you?
I love Diana Gabaldon’s work. She was a mom of three small children and working when she wrote her first novel to ‘practice’. Her Outlander series is amazing.

How did you find out about
Some of my author friends on Facebook liked your page and that’s how I found you!

Are you working on any other projects that you would like to share with us?
I am working on the sequel to my second novel, The End, an other time travel novella and a novel about a young girl on a Caribbean Island just before the American Revolution.

What advice would you give to new authors just starting out?
Write all the time and find someone that you trust to let read your writing. That was the hardest thing for me, was to have the confidence to allow someone else to read something that I wrote.
