Author Interview – Mahalia Levey

Here is the interview that I did with Mahalia Levey for the Howl With The Black Wolves Event.

How long have you been published?
May 2010

What role do you play in the Black Hills Wolves?
I’m one of the authors invited to start the new line before Decadent opened it up for everyone!

As you know the lovely Rebecca Royce is the sole reason why this event is taking place so if you had to describe her to new readers in 3 words what would they be?
Beautiful, endearing, talented

Finding the right targeted audience can be a difficult task so what do you find to be the biggest advantage with online marketing?
An author can tap into blogger sites and other media sharing sites geared toward a certain demographic by how the hosts or companies cater to their audience.

What are your thoughts on the upcoming release of Wolf’s Return?
I’m so excited to see the line kick off and can’t wait for this release!!!!

What is one thing that you want fans to know about the Black Hills Wolves?
Fans should be on the lookout for some great stories, plot lines and continuing stories with multifaceted characters that are unforgettable.

Of all the books that Rebecca Royce has written or cowritten with others which is your favorite and why?
That is a hard one. I’ve read all her work. I love them all lol.

Are you currently working on a new project that you would like to share with us?
I am writing my third Black Hills Wolves story.

Are you self published or with a traditional publisher and what do you find to be the pros and cons of each?
I’m a hybrid! I have both self pubbed and traditional small  pressed pubbed.
I love my publishers they work hard to provide marketing, editing and art work and continued support. I do believe that some stories a specific length should be priced lower. I like self pubbing because I can control everything from pricing, artwork, content, character names, distribution etc.

What was one of your New Year’s resolutions?
I don’t believe in New Year’s Resolutions. On my Birthday I make a pact to be a better mother, fiancé, aunt, and friend than the year before.
