Author Interview – Cam Cassidy

Here is the interview that I did with Cam Cassidy for the Howl with the Black Wolves Event.

How long have you been published?
I’m a newborn author, only pushed for a year.  Looking forward to many more.

What role do you play in the Black Hills Wolves?
I’m one of the authors writing in the Black Hills Wolves series.

As you know the lovely Rebecca Royce is the sole reason why this event is taking place so if you had to describe her to new readers in 3 words what would they be?

Amazing, imaginative and compelling.

Finding the right targeted audience can be a difficult task so what do you find to be the biggest advantage with online marketing?
There are endless possibilities with online marketing.  Through the use of hashtags, photos, tag lines, your marketing reach expands.

What are your thoughts on the upcoming release of Wolf’s Return?
I am so excited about the release of Wolf’s Return.  As an author of the series, we have had little snippets into the story, just enough to tease.  Rebecca is an amazing author who really pulls her readers into the story.  I can’t wait to visit the Black Hills with her.

What is one thing that you want fans to know about the Black Hills Wolves?
The Black Hills Wolves is an amazing journey of stories seen and told through the eyes and minds of so many different authors.

Of all the books that Rebecca Royce has written or cowritten with others which is your favorite and why?
Hard question!  I would have to pick an Alpha’s Strength.  Set in modern times, Manhattan, sexy, strong Alpha Cyrus protecting is pack and Betsy.  Great read!

Are you currently working on a new project that you would like to share with us?
My contribution to the series, A Wolf Awakens is currently in the editing phase.

Are you self published or with a traditional publisher and what do you find to be the pros and cons of each?
My books have all been traditionally published.  Being a new author, I chose the traditional route for several reasons. One would be self-validation that my works were worthy in someone’s eyes other than my own.  Second is for the support that the traditional environment gives.  Along the way I have met and maintain several great friendships.  I have never self published but may at some point.  The creative freedom and of course increase in revenue are definite positives.

What was one of your New Year’s resolutions?
I did not make any this year, not that I didn’t need to.  If I had it would have been better time management, eating better, exercising more.  See, I would have already blown numbers two and three so good thing I didn’t make them 😉
