Multi Author, Multi Day, Multi Genre Book Bash Author Interview – A.R. Von

arHere is my author interview with the talented author A.R. Von for the Multi Author, Multi Day, Multi Genre Book Bash – day three which is featuring Paranormal/Sci Fi/Fantasy Authors. She is the author of several books including Wunder Volume One (Wunder Series Book 1) which I have personally read and loved so grab your copy today.

How many books do you currently have available on the market within the paranormal/sci fi or fantasy genres and which would they fit into?
I have a total of 10 right now. 5 of them being part of the Wunder series.

If you had to choose one genre to read for the rest of your life what would it be and why?
Paranormal hands down. It’s the genre that ALWAYS give me the greatest escape. Sometimes I just don’t want to come back 🙂

What do you think the hardest part of being an author is?
Making as many readers happy as possible. It’s REALLY hard and virtually impossible to many EVERYONE happy. But I do try my best to please as many hungry imaginations as I can.

Do you believe that any type of paranormal/fantasy creatures really exist such as vampires, witches, ghosts etc and why do you believe this either way?
OK, this is most likely going to be an odd answer for most. But it’s my standing, so here I go. Yes and no. I believe anything CAN be real, even if it’s not out there in front of us. It can exist inside someones head (their own personal world), it could exist on a another planet or on another plan of existence. There’s also the fact that someone’s idea of something (in this case mine) could be VERY different from another. An example: Mosquito’s. To me, they’re blood sucking vampires! To another, they are others that they see as blood sucking vampires. I know they’re dragons out there, but not as you’re most likely thinking–I’m thinking. These dragons I’ve actually SEEN, and some I’ve held. They may not be as regal and colorful as the drawing and statues we see. But they’re beautiful non the less. Then there are witches, I know quite a few and they are the most beautiful, amazing people I’ve met in my life. I hope this gives you at least a small idea of my way of thinking 😉

What is one random thing that you can tell us about yourself that readers might be surprised by?
I once wanted to be a wrestler…lol

Have you ever read a book that left you raw with emotion whether it be sad, happy or even scared?
The first Steven King book I’ve ever read brought forth the most in me than any other book I’ve read since. That book is Pet Cemetery. I cried and teared and sniffled. OK, I was even a little scared.

If one of your books were to be turned into a movie who would you cast to play your leading characters and why?
I’m going to go with the Wunder series. Wunder would be played by Emilia Clarke, Jasmine by Lena Heady, Lance by Rufus Sewell and Pete would be played by Kostas Martakis or Ian Somerhalder. Why, well look at them! lol

If you could co-write a book with any author who would it be with, what genre would you choose and why?
Oh my! There are SO many!! This time around I’ll have to say…Vikki Pettersson. Her mind is so fucking fabulous and different and out there. All qualities I love when reading an author loyally. I think her and I would make a most excellent team with many WAY OUT THERE tales to spin.

When it comes to your own books what is one thing that you do to ensure that they are unique and will stand out against other books within the same genre? I just make sure to continue being true to myself and write with my own voice.

Any big plans or projects planned for 2016 that you would like to share with us?
I plan to get the next of the Wunder series out there for my zombie loving readers. Then I’m going to write the next in the Blood Dance series (my erotic thriller), Blood Rites. I have a couple of others I’ll be working on, but they’re not paranormal.
